Graft case accepted by Thai court
Thailand’s Supreme Court gave Samak’s struggling government another blow Monday, accepting a fresh new corruption case which could lead to three more ministers being forced out of office, according to AFP.
Under the constitution, Finance Minister Surapong Suebwonglee, Labour Minister Uraiwan Thienthong and a deputy transport minister, Anurak Jureemas, must be suspended from their posts for their involvement in the lawsuit.
Ousted PM Thaksin Shinawatra and 46 other senior govt officials would also stand trial in graft lawsuits, the court warned.
