Vietnam ranks third on number of tourists visiting Cambodia

By Phy • May 6th, 2008

“Vietnam ranks third following the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Japan on the number of tourists visiting Cambodia in the first quarter of this year,” VietNamNet Bridge wrote May 5 in its news article More Vietnam tourists keen on Cambodia tourism (Link last visited May 6), following a visit by Cambodian Minister of Tourism.

In January 2008, Vietnamese tourists share eight percent of the country’s tourist market share, according to the report of the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce.

The Executive Summary Report in January 2008 showed Japan ranked fourth after Vietnam (Link last visited May 6). If one had to make an inference, the number of Japanese tourists to Cambodia have risen from the fourth position in Jan 2008 to second by May the same year.

@Kane—Thanks for your comment. I intended not to do any analysis about this here in posts under this my Facts & Figures category but to merely list facts and figures I got from various sources. That said, comments not constituting racial or ethnic discrimination (including mine too) are very much welcome!
