About Samphy Y
Better work starts with understanding people.
I’m a strategist, consultant, and builder with a background in law, learning and development, and digital media. I help make complex work clearer—and turn that clarity into systems people can use.

The story so far
01 · Law & compliance
My career began in labor law and compliance. As a legal officer, and later an associate and counsel, I worked with local and international organizations on labor disputes, supply-chain audits, and training.
That work taught me to look beyond the policy on paper. How people understand a process—and what happens in their working day—can matter just as much as how it is written.
02 · Learning & development
Training and facilitation became a larger part of my work. I led learning initiatives for executives, employees, and workers, connecting organizational requirements with practical skills and conversations.
The question shifted from “What should people know?” to “What will help them use it?” That question still guides how I approach learning, communication, and digital adoption.
03 · Digital media & systems
Alongside my consulting and training work, this website became a place to learn by doing. I explored content strategy, SEO, website management, and the systems behind publishing useful work.
That interest brought me to the United States to study Narrative and Emerging Media at Arizona State University, where I completed my master’s in 2025. My work expanded into immersive prototypes, including voice-first AI characters and VR learning experiences.
Today, I bring those threads together: understanding the context, designing a workable system, and helping people use it.
How I approach the work
I want to understand the people, constraints, and purpose before choosing a tool or recommending a solution.
My legal background brings attention to requirements and risk. Learning and digital work bring attention to experience, communication, and implementation.
A useful idea needs a way into everyday work. I build, test, listen, and refine so the next version is more workable.

Helen KuyperSamphy’s knowledge about productivity is just amazing. If you are serious about being fearlessly productive and get meaningful work done, you must check him out. He is our go-to resource for actionable productivity advice.
Borana MarSamphy Y may not look like the standard business consultant if you see him in action. No loud voice here. No simple statements. Not even quick actions. He inquires first and reflects before he moves. His real power lies in his honest curiosity and his work from a good and strong heart.
Samphy is one of the best listeners. Not only on the surface but also below the waterline. He is at ease with managers and workers and so are they with him. They trust him as they recognize his real interest. Once he gets started he is very persistent in his willingness to look for possible improvements and sustainable change. Although he might sometimes need a little push there, he knows how to involve the people that are part of the solutions to make things happen.
In business, he is a very loyal and trustable partner that will not give up. Give him the right people, space, time, and a complex problem to work with. And he will surprise you.
Don't forget to use his experience in the WE Program, a worldwide network on creating change in the industry with a strong focus on human rights. This is where the lawyer Samphy practices his dialogue and co-creation skills. And shares his strong belief in the power of stories.
